Six Ten Corporation, Inc. – Bond Medical Facility, Winter Haven, FL
A 36,000 sq. ft. multi-story State of the Art medical office building in downtown Winter Haven, FL located at the northwest intersection of Avenue C NW and 1st Street. The civil portion of the project included the evaluation and reconstruction of two on-street parking areas. Because of the high cost of property with no space on the site for the traditional stormwater management facilities, and the need to ensure the final drainage conditions would meet FDOT’s approval, an advanced underground excess runoff treatment system was designed under the parking area. The civil site engineering supporting infrastructure included the subsurface infiltration system, entrance access, parking, potable and fire water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, stormwater management, and landscape design. This project was designed and permitted via the City of Winter Haven, the Southwest Florida Water Management District, Historical and Cultural Resources, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the Polk County Health Department. This effort resulted in a review of the City’s site clearance regulations and a revision to the City’s land development code approved by the City’s Special Magistrate. Consulting Fee: $75,300; Construction Cost: $9.5 million
