CarterKaye provided Owner construction administration representation for the construction of a new industrial railroad spur within the Winter Haven Intermodal Logistics Park. The project included construction of new industrial lead, spur, setoff, and wye tracks; railroad turnouts; ballast and subballast sections; geotechnical improvements; drainage infrastructure; roadway and channel crossings; utility coordination; and associated site improvements constructed in accordance with the project plans and applicable railroad standards.
Acting as the City’s representative during construction, CarterKaye provided construction observation, documentation, and coordination services to assist the City in monitoring construction progress and general conformance with the approved plans and specifications. Services included participation in progress meetings, preparation of field observation reports, review and coordination of Requests for Information , material submittals, contractor testing documentation, proposed change orders, and pay applications, together with coordination among the Contractor, Engineer of Record, railroad representatives, testing laboratories, and City staff
